Three-level model

The three-level model is a model introduced by Jens Rasmussen in the 1980s to describe human behavior in a human-machine system on three cognitive levels. He differentiates

  • behavior based on sensorimotor skills ( skill based )
  • rule-based behavior ( rule based )
  • knowledge-based behavior ( knowledge-based )
