Dueling analogs

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dueling Analogs was an American webcomic directed by Steve Napierski . The webcomic has appeared on Mondays and Wednesdays since November 17, 2005.

In terms of content, Dueling Analogs mainly deals with video games. Many of the comics are parodies of video games, films, gamers, and also other webcomics with the same theme. There are solid characters with regular appearances, such as Harvey , a young player who often takes on the role of the narrator. The Nintendo character Mario also appears as a permanent figure. The comics are often three-picture strips, but often they take up entire pages or a special layout. In addition to self-contained gags, there are stories that drag on for weeks, or recurring categories such as Games that I am glad were never made , What if ...? or Rejected Mega Man Villains .

In 2006, Dueling Analogs was nominated for the Web Cartoonist's Choice Award in two categories.

As of 2010, updates to the comic continued to decline as Napierski lacked both the time and motivation. The updates to the site since then consisted largely of video game-related comics from other sources.

In 2018 Napierski finally said goodbye and announced that there will be no more updates.
