Degree of moisture penetration
The degree of moisture penetration , also abbreviated as DFG ges , describes the ratio of moisture content to maximum water absorption in building materials . The degree of moisture penetration is determined indirectly by measuring the moisture content and the maximum water absorption, each as a percentage by mass . The degree of moisture penetration is used to assess damp building materials, for example wood , screed or masonry .
