The Do-DT 45 is a target display drone manufactured by EADS . It represents the target to be fought in air defense training .

It is designed with two engines and reaches speeds of around 430  kts (215 m / s, approx. 770 km / h). It can be configured as a radar or infrared or thermal target. Thanks to the built-in radar altimeter, it is able to fly very low in order to simulate an approaching anti-ship missile over water . In order to represent an infrared or heat target, the Do-DT45 has a hot nose , which is operated electrically. Power is supplied via the engines, which are equipped with generators.

The start takes place by means of a pneumatic catapult. The drone is powered by two jet engines and reaches a top speed of approx. 770 km / h. The navigation can be carried out using programmed waypoints via GPS . Manual control is also possible. After the flight, the drone lands on a parachute .
