ECO-IDC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ECO-IDC was a racing series for model racing boats that took place from 2000 to 2012. IDC is the abbreviation for International Germany Cup . This racing series was initiated by Hans Büscher and Jörg Mrkwitschka . The idea for this came from 1992. The aim was to be able to race in the ECO classes outside of the German championships. In 1998 this idea was taken up again. The first race was held in the following year. With beginner-friendly classes, the IDC gives everyone access to model sport. At the end of 2012 the racing series ended under the name ECO-IDC. Since the beginning of 2013, the racing series has been continued under the name Deutscher-ECO-Cup by Ursula and Thomas Kieper.
