EMBOSS

EMBOSS is an acronym for E uropean M olecular B iology O pen S oftware S uite . EMBOSS is a free, open source program package from the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI). It was specially designed for users in the fields of molecular biology and bioinformaticsdeveloped. The software is able to process data and especially sequences in a variety of different formats. The software package contains extensive libraries and serves as a platform that allows other scientists to develop and publish open source software.
