ERP scholarship program
The ERP scholarship program has been financed since 1994 with funds from the ERP special fund, which is administered by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). The organization of the program and the selection of the scholarship holders is carried out by the German National Academic Foundation , comparable to the McCloy Academic Scholarship Program . The program supports postgraduates for one to two years of study or research at top American universities. The aim of the program is to promote technically excellent and socially or politically committed students and to contribute to transatlantic relations. Around 15 scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarship includes a grant towards tuition fees and a monthly full scholarship. However, applicants must apply for admission to American universities themselves.
