European railway engineer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Railway Engineer Certificate (EURAIL-ING) is proof of the qualification of engineers and companies to carry out engineering services in the railway sector. Since a uniform quality verification procedure is necessary in Europe, the Union of European Railway Engineers' Associations - UEEIV - is authorized to issue the certificate on application.

Certification

Railway engineers can apply for certification. Railway engineers are engineers who have diplomas, test certificates or state exams and who work for railways, railway administrations and railway authorities, transport companies and administrations, in railway-specific research and teaching at universities and colleges or in companies that plan and build for the aforementioned institutions and deliver materials, systems and vehicles typical for railways.
