EUROP ( European Robotics Technology Platform ) is a network of European robotics companies and organizations. The aim of the initiative is to strengthen research and development of robot technology in Europe. EUROP was founded in 2005 and is supported by the European Commission , in 2009 a research agenda for robotics in Europe was published. Part of the effort is the development of a European research agenda (SRA, European Strategic Research Agenda ), which is to focus European robotics research on key issues. On July 7, 2009 the research agenda was published under the title “Robotic Visions to 2020 and beyond - The Strategic Research Agenda for robotics in Europe, 07/2009”.
