Earth Impact Database
Earth Impact Database is a database containing information about confirmed structures of meteor impacts on Earth . It was started in 1955 at the Dominion Observatory in Ottawa under the direction of Carlyle S. Beals . It is now being continued by the Planetary and Space Science Center at the University of New Brunswick , Canada. It resulted in a total of 190 confirmed impact craters in 2020.
The Expert Database on Earth Impact Structures (EDEIS) of the Siberian Division Russian Academy of Sciences also dealt with unconfirmed structures .
From 2004 to 2010 there was also the Impact Field Studies Group (IFSG) , which operated its own Impact Database (previously: Earth Impact Sites (SEIS)).
