The index of economic diversification , short IdöD ( English Economic Diversification Index , EDI ) is an economic indicator that shows the degree of economic strength of a state.

The IdöD is composed of the following criteria:

• Share of industry in gross domestic product ( GDP )
• Number of people employed in industry
• Electricity consumption per head
• Export orientation of the economy

The IdöD is one of the criteria for the classification of the group of the least developed countries ( English Least Developed Countries , short LDC ).
