eduQua is the best-known and most widely used label for training providers in Switzerland. It was developed in 2000 on behalf of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Federal Office for Vocational Training and Technology (BTT), the German-Swiss Vocational Training Offices Conference (DBK) and the Swiss Association for Further Education (SVEB).

eduQua offers training providers a qualitative basis on how they can control and continuously optimize their processes and educational offers.

Certification

In order to obtain the certificate, minimum standards must be met. Certification gives an institution market advantages because the label has a positive effect on its image. At the same time, the implementation of certification and the control mechanisms have a positive effect on quality management .

The certification is carried out by independent regional certification bodies. EduQua defines criteria for the quality of an institution in six areas:

  • Educational offers
  • information
  • education
  • Trainers
  • Quality management system
  • guide

An institution must meet minimum standards in these areas in order to be awarded the eduQua label. In addition, eduQua also provides impulses for quality assurance: in the preparation phase for certification, with an on-site audit , with a certification report, with annual interim audits and with the renewal of the eduQua certification every three years.

Sponsorship

The Swiss Association for Further Education SVEB is the sponsor of eduQua. He runs the eduQua office and ensures the operation of the system. The SVEB board acts as the steering committee. The developments are accompanied by the support group.
