The former office building in Seeheim is a listed building in Seeheim (Seeheim-Jugenheim) .

history

The old office building was built from the 14th century . Originally, Tannenberg Castle was the administrative center. After the destruction of the Tannenburg in 1399, a new seat was needed for the bailiff in the Seeheim district . The Amtshaus was the bailiff's residential building and part of a complex of farm buildings, stables, cellars and tithe barn. Around 1560 the complex had reached its structural climax. The upper floor of the office building dates from the 18th century .

Georg Christoph Lichtenberg lived in the house .

building

It is a long two-story house with a hipped roof in Villastrasse 2. The ground floor is made of solid stone, the upper floor is made of half-timbered construction. For reasons of local history, it is a listed building.
