Badge of Honor of the DBD

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The DBD badge of honor was an award from the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD), which was donated in 1962 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the party. The award was made for outstanding service in party work. In 1963 the first decorations were awarded to deserving party members at a ceremony. The 20 mm oval badge of honor shows in its center on a black background, later light green, an upright golden ear with an indicated scythe. Underneath the letters DBD . The first variant of the badge was enclosed with a wreath of ears, which merged into a GDR flag on the lower side of the badge. However, this subsequently ceased. The back shows a vertically soldered needle with a counter-hook.
