Intrusion attempt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The penetration test is a test method according to DIN 1996 and is used to examine the stability of mastic asphalt and asphalt mastic . For this purpose, the course of the penetration is recorded over a period of 60 minutes using a circular stamp (area 1 cm² or 5 cm²), which rests on the test specimen with a firmly defined force. The resulting penetration curve shows the depth of penetration in relation to the duration of exposure. When evaluating the penetration curve, it can be determined whether the penetration depth of the tested material increases constantly during the loading period or stagnates above a certain value.
