Matías Romero's railway accident
In the railway accident in Matías Romero on October 21, 1939, a freight train derailed near Matías Romero in the Mexican state of Oaxaca , on which numerous passengers were also traveling. In the accident , the flammable cargo of two tank wagons caught fire. 40 people died.
