Electronic voting system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An electronic voting system (English Electronic Voting System ( EVS ), Audience Response System , Public Response System or Clicker ) enables z. B. to carry out anonymous votes in courses or meetings with the help of mobile devices. The audience's inputs are wirelessly transmitted to the voting software and can then be projected onto the wall using a video projector . By integrating the voting system, in addition to classic voting questions (multiple choice question / single choice question), domain-specific task types can also be used in courses. With the spread of smartphones in particular, there are extensive options for providing web-based types of tasks and making them available via video projection.

The digital further development of the classic systems is based on the use of the mobile internet-enabled devices of the people present (such as smartphones or tablets) and thus makes the distribution and maintenance of devices specially purchased for this purpose superfluous. Modern digital systems are summarized under the term Audience Response Systems .
