Electric spreader
The electric spreader is an agricultural device that is used to distribute commercial fertilizer ( fertilizer spreader ), slug pellets, oil binding agents, road salt or to spread catch crops (greening), sown grass, undersown and sowing on set-aside areas. There are electric spreaders with one or two spreading discs.

The device is attached to a utility device (e.g. tractor) and thus enables the spreading of fertilizers and soil cultivation in one step.
Single disc spreader
The single disc spreader has a spreader, it is used, among other things, in winter with snow plows to spread sand and grit.
Double disc spreader
As the name suggests, a two-disc spreader has two discs. The two spreading disks can be regulated or controlled separately, so that if only partial areas are to be supplied with the spreading material to be spread, this can be controlled in a simple manner and the use of material can be minimized or optimized.
Double disc spreaders are sold by Cavallo Macchine Agricole, APV and Victon, among others.
comparison
The advantages of the electric drive compared to the mechanical drive are the simple operation (no coupling of the cardan shaft necessary) and no dependence on the engine speed. In addition, the electric spreader is more precise and offers a larger area of application (use also e.g. with a quad or off-road vehicle). Compared to the hydraulic drive, the electric spreader offers fuel savings (no electrically operated secondary consumers) and hydraulically complex, sensitive technology is more expensive.
