Emplastrification

The Emplastrifikation is a method of electrical insulation , wherein the damaged insulation to be repaired by depositing an insulating compound. The aim of emplastrification is to restore the original insulating properties of the treated object.

The term is derived from the Latin "emplastrum" (plaster).
