Event space (mechanics)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As event space (English: Space of events ) in some representations of classical mechanics , the extension of the configuration space of a system around the time designated, so the tuple , which the generalized coordinates are.

Since in the theory of relativity space and time are combined to form the Minkowski space , the event space also prepares for this in classical mechanics. In the theory of relativity event (called events ) a point in space-time .
