Distortion of results by the interviewer

As a result of distortion by the interviewer or result distortion by the interviewer ( English interviewer bias ) is defined as a conscious or unconscious influence of individuals as part of oral opinion surveys on research - or marketing purposes , leading to systematic distortions of results as a response bias designated or response distortion becomes. There are 4 types of effects:

  • Confirmation of a pre-formed opinion of the interviewer ( confirmation bias )
  • Affective heuristic as the influence of characteristics such as attractiveness, race, gender, etc. in the evaluation ( affective heuristic )
  • Anchoring as placing expectations of the candidate as "anchors" that influence the assessment ( anchoring )
  • Intuition as an intuitive formation of judgment, since not enough objective data are available ( intuition )
