Walter played at least from the 1905/06 to 1908/09 seasons for FC Winterthur. With the Löwen, the striker was twice Swiss champions in 1906 and 1908.
On March 8, 1908 in the 1: 2 defeat against France and on May 20, 1909 in the 0: 9 defeat against England, he came to two missions in the Swiss national team .
