Externalization

Externalization ( Latin: externus , see external ; outward shift, sale, shifting) denotes:

  • Externalization (psychology) , the shifting of feelings, motives or ascriptions to the outside
  • in business and economics, the passing on of costs to the community or to future generations, see external effect
  • in knowledge models the conversion of implicit knowledge into explicit knowledge, see implicit knowledge
  • in cell biology, the presentation of molecules on the outer cell wall for signaling purposes, see also antigen presentation
