Federal service for supervision in the field of consumer protection and protection of human well-being
The Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere consumer protection and human welfare ( Russian Федеральная служба по надзору в сфере защиты прав потребителей и благополучия человека , shortly Роспотребнадзор / Rospotrebnadzor ) is the Russian Inspectorate for Consumer Protection and Health .
The authority was established in 2004. It was subordinate to the Ministry of Health until 2012 and since then directly to the government of the Russian Federation . Rospotrebnadzor has around 110,000 employees nationwide.
