Federation of European Fools
The Federation of European Fools (FEN) is an umbrella organization of carnival societies and individuals committed to promoting and maintaining carnival and traditional carnival.
The FEN was founded from the "Friends of European Fools", which was launched on September 21, 1968 in the Franconian region , and the "Association of European Carnival Associations" from Mönchengladbach , both of which met on June 20, 1970 in Essen today FEN joined forces.
FEN looks after carnival and carnival societies across Europe, mainly in: Belgium, France, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Germany. The FEN BRD is divided into several regional associations. If necessary, various regional associations (LV) are subdivided into regional associations (RV). The FEN attaches great importance to the promotion of young talent and youth work in the carnival societies.
