FC Dinamo Yerevan ( Armenian Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Դինամո Երևան ) is a former Armenian football club from Yerevan .

The club was founded in 1936 as Dinamo Yerevan and won the football championship of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic in its first year . In 1937 the team defended their title. Between 1946 and 1949 the club won the championship four times in a row. The 1949 title was the last championship in Soviet times. In 1959 they became runner-up again. After the independence of Armenia , the club was re-established as FC Dinamo Jewewan and played in the Arajin chumb , the second Armenian football league , from 1992 . In 1999 the team became second division champions, but did not rise. For the 2008 season, the club stopped playing after being logged off for a year in 2002. The club still exists today, but no longer takes part in professional football.
