The Red Star football club is a Swiss football club from the city of Zurich . The team currently plays in the first division , the fourth highest division in Switzerland.
history
FC Red Star was founded in 1905 and named after the Red Star Line . In 2005 the association celebrated its 100th anniversary. The biggest sporting highlights were the seasons in what was then the National League B and reaching the semi-finals in the Swisscom Cup in 1999, when the Grasshopper Club Zurich was the final destination.
Stadion
FC Red Star plays its home games at the Allmend Brunau sports complex. The capacity is 2,030 spectators, 30 of which are seated and 2,000 are standing.
