FS 800 (1905)

In 1905, the newly founded Ferrovie dello Stato took over two steam locomotives from Rete Mediterranea in the first class 800 :

• the tank locomotive 8001 (formerly RM 5101 )
• the Schlepptender -Lokomotive 8002 (formerly 5103 of RM ).

Both units were about to be retired; They only got the FS series number for inventory reasons, and shortly afterwards they were retired.
