FVWM95 is a window manager for the X Window System . It is based on the well-known FVWM 2 and specializes in imitating the look of Windows 95 .

FVWM95 was a very popular window manager for a while, for example it was used by default on Red Hat Linux 5.0. In today's Linux distributions , however, it is rarely used because it is no longer being developed and is now technically inferior to other window managers.
