activity
The aim of the FV Werbung is to protect the interests of member companies and to support companies in the advertising industry. This is done by:
- Representation of the Austrian advertising and communication industry in all basic positions to the outside world
- Formulation of a common association policy for the balance of interests of all affected members
- professional representation of interests of the members
- Statements on assessment procedures in all interest-political matters (laws, regulations, EU law)
- Keeping the postal Robinson list
- individual legal advice and preparation of brief reports
structure
The professional association committee as the highest decision-making body consists of 31 full and 2 co-opted members. In accordance with the federal structure of Austria, the professional association committee is composed of representatives from all nine federal states. For this purpose, the FV Werbung works as a federal organization with the advertising specialist groups set up in each federal state.
At the head of the professional association for advertising and market communication is the chairwoman who, together with her two deputies, forms the presidium.
The regular term of office is 5 years. According to the proportional representation system, the association members elect their branch representatives every 5 years. The distribution of mandates for the professional association committee is based on the results of this primary election . The committee members elect the chairman and his deputy from among their number.
