Route adaptation

A route adjustment ( abbreviation FAP) in rail operations is the interface between an interlocking and a neighboring interlocking of a different design within a route of a train station .

When converting old interlockings to modern systems, there are interfaces between the different systems. Adaptation circuits between the electronic and electromechanical components of the interlocking technology are used to bridge the gap. The so-called route adjustments.
