Facade connection window

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A facade connection window is the combination of a skylight with a vertical window directly below the skylight. In terms of construction, it is often a kinked window element.

This construction is particularly chosen for a high knee stick , which would prevent a direct, horizontal view outwards.

The shading is usually from the inside; external shading is expensive because there is little space for a roller shutter box between the two windows.

The routing or interruption of the gutter must also be taken into account when planning . If this is interrupted, a further process is usually necessary. Some facade connection windows are already fitted with a rain gutter as standard.

A facade connection window is an alternative to a mid-house .
