Federico Martínez , full name Federico Andrés Martínez Berroa , (born February 28, 1996 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.75 meter tall midfielder Martínez played in youth football since 2010 at the latest for Liverpool Montevideo and was there that year both in the team in the Septima División and in the Sexta División, for which he was active the following year. He then went through the U-16s in 2012 and the Quinta División team in 2013. In 2014 and 2015 he was a parallel member of the U-19 (Cuarta División) and the Reserve (Formativas) in the Tercera División. He made his debut in the Primera División in Apertura 2015 on December 6, 2015 in a 3-2 home defeat by Nacional Montevideo , when he was substituted on for Jhonatan Candia in the 69th minute by coach Gabriel Oroza . In the 2015/16 season he played 16 first division matches (no goal). During the 2016 season he was used 14 times (no goal) in the league. In the current 2017 season he has so far (as of February 11, 2017) played a first division game (no goal).
