Spring washer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
several spring washers as a ring

A spring washer is a washer made from spring steel . It creates its resilient effect by being conical or bent on both sides. It was earlier in screw between the screw head and the workpiece as the screw locking used. However, it does not offer sufficient protection against the effects of settling in a screw connection and is not suitable as a screw locking device . The corresponding standards (DIN 137 and DIN 6904) have been withdrawn.
