The baseball club BSC Feldkirch Cardinals from Feldkirch was founded in 1990. Seven years after it was founded, the company was promoted to what was then the 2nd Bundesliga West, following the restructuring of Regionalliga-West. In 2001, the runner-up could be fought and in 2002 defended. In 2005, second place in the regional league was again achieved in a syndicate with Dornbirn. The promotion to the Austrian Baseball Bundesliga (BBL) succeeded in 2007. In the first season of 2008, the team reached third place.
One focus of the association is on the work with young talent. In addition to teams in the Austrian Bundesliga, Regionalliga West and Landesliga Vorarlberg, the Cardinals report three youth teams (youth U15, pupils U13, children U10) as well as a slowpitch softball team for play.
