Vacation pass

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A holiday pass is an i. d. As a rule, an entitlement certificate or voucher issued by a regional authority grants children and young people reduced or even free access to regular or specially organized leisure activities during the school holidays. The holiday pass is often designed as a stamp card, with which the activities or dates can be calculated separately or fields can be canceled when participating. Often the free use of public transport is also possible with the pass, because the tickets for school-age children are not always valid during the holiday season.

Its socio-political function is multifaceted. On the one hand, children should be given attractive, varied leisure activities; In some cases, the high costs of spending free time for children during the holidays are mitigated.
