Fernbach flask

The Fernbach flask is a glass vessel with a neck that tapers sharply towards the top.

It was named after the French microbiologist Auguste Fernbach and is used in microbial fermentations where a large surface area of ​​the liquid substrate is required. Its shape corresponds roughly to a covered Petri dish .
