Fetishism or fetish ( Latin facticius 'imitation, artificial'; French fétiche 'magic [medium]') denotes:

  • the worship of certain objects in the belief in supernatural properties, see fetishism (religion)
  • a form of sexuality that focuses on certain objects or body parts, see sexual fetishism
  • in Marxism the reversal of a social relationship between people and a relationship between goods, see commodity fetish
