Fire service badge (Brandenburg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The fire brigade performance badge (Brandenburg) was donated in 1997 by the state fire brigade association Brandenburg eV and is a badge that can be awarded to all members of the Brandenburg volunteer fire brigade who have successfully completed the underlying test.

Purpose of the foundation and award requirements

The fire service badge serves to support the fire service training and to deepen the fire service knowledge of the members of the volunteer fire service. Further goals are to increase the operational readiness as well as the physical training of the fire brigade members. The achievement badge is awarded after successful participation in the performance comparisons of the fire brigade association in the following stages:

  • Bronze (1 time successful participation)
  • Silver (6 successful participation)
  • Gold (11 successful participation)
  • Special level gold (21 successful participation or

work as circle trainer TM / TF or radio operator or wearers of breathing apparatus).

Another prerequisite is that the award of the achievement badge is limited to a certain group of people. It is therefore only awarded to fire service members who are members of the Brandenburg Fire Service Association. The award is incumbent on the district boards of the fire brigade volumes. After successful participation, the ribbon buckle or the achievement badge along with the corresponding award certificate will be awarded. The exam includes the following conditions:

  1. fire-fighting part,
  2. Knots and stitches,
  3. theoretical part and the
  4. sporty part.

The achievement badge is made available by the state fire brigade association after previous order against payment by the district executive committee. This also applies to the evidence required (examination forms, etc.). The state fire brigade association is also responsible for selecting the referees. The actual acquisition of the performance badge takes place through participation in the performance comparisons of the fire service associations of the districts that are members of the state fire service association.

Appearance, texture and way of wearing

The fire service badge consists of a highly oval, double edged oak leaf wreath, which is tied together at its lower end. At its upper end is the state coat of arms of Brandenburg, the Märkische Adler . Depending on the level awarded, the badge is either bronzed, silver-plated or gold-plated. In the middle of the badge you can see the fire department symbol, a fire helmet in front of a crossed fire engine and fire engine. The original FwDV 3 badge of the LFV Brandenburg is worn as a cross on the left breast pocket of the uniform at the highest level or as a ribbon buckle above the left breast pocket, classified between state and district or city awards.
