Firsching (Hargelsberg municipality)

Firsching is a village in the Hargelsberg municipality in Upper Austria .

The Rotte Firsching is one kilometer west of Hargelsberg and used to consist of a few homesteads and small houses. The place received a significant impetus from the commassment in the 1970s , when the farmers in Firsching made land available for sport and leisure. This led to brisk construction activity and the emergence of the Silberbergsiedlung and the housing estate northeast of the town center on the parish grounds.

The earliest written documents are 1378 "Fuesching" and 1410 "Füesching". The personal name Fusco / Fuosco is possible as a starting word .
