The Forêt Classée du Kou is a nature reserve in the Houet province in southwest Burkina Faso . It was founded by the French colonial administration by decree on July 4, 1935 and is only 114 hectares in size. The name refers to the Kou River , which has its source nearby and flows through the reserve.

location

The Forêt Classée du Kou is located about 15 kilometers northwest of Bobo-Dioulasso , the second largest city in Burkina Faso.
