Foras feasa ar Éirinn

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Foras feasa ar Éirinn ("Knowledge base about Ireland", usually called "History of Ireland" for short) is the name of a historical work in early Neuchâtel that was written by the theologian Geoffrey Keating (Seathrún Céitinn) in 1633/34.

The work begins with the conquest of the land ( Lebor Gabála Érenn ) and ends with the conquest of Ireland by England . The sources used by Keating are now partially lost, but according to recent research, they were sometimes edited according to the zeitgeist.
