Forbidden Daughters (lit. translation Forbidden Girls ) is a 13 minute short, American nude film from 1927 that was directed by Albert Arthur Allen .

action

Russell and Alva Silby are a wealthy couple, yet Russell is drawn to Africa for new adventures and romance. He disappeared there for years and Alva sends a detective to look for him. Finally she receives a hopeful telegram and she sets off for Africa. After three months of searching, shortly before giving up, she found out about an Indian trader named Raja Sana at a remote trading post. She looks for him and gets access to his harem. Amazed by the open-hearted nudity of the harem ladies, she witnesses a jealous murder of the favorite Sanas. She is mistaken for the perpetrator and thrown into dungeon. There she looks for Sana and falls in love with her. On the following night, however, Alva escapes and wanders through the jungle. After three days she hears the drums of a native tribe. This consists exclusively of naked women and their princess Loma. She discovers Russell, who seems to have fallen for Loma. She decides to fight for her husband and undresses herself and so seductively appears in front of her husband. Ultimately, she wins him back.

classification

The film could be dismissed as one of the many stage films of the era. However, the relative length of 13 minutes and the fact that the director and all the main actors are known by name speak against this. There is also no sexual activity. Rather, the film is a continuation of Allen's pioneering work in the field of nude photography. The film itself remains very static and has no tracking shots.
