The Fort Worth Cavalry were an arena football team from Fort Worth , Texas that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). The Cavalry played their home games at the Tarrant County Convention Center .
history
The Cavalry were founded in 1993 by Peter Kern and ran for one season in the AFL before they disbanded again after only one season in 1994.
1994 season (AFL)
The Cavalry ended their only season on a playoff place with 5 wins and 7 losses. In the first round, however, they lost to the Orlando Predators with 14:34.
Like many new franchises, the Cavalry struggled with financial problems. Neither enough season tickets were sold nor enough single tickets at the box office. In the end, an average of 4,918 spectators per game was achieved, which meant last place in the league comparison.
