Fríkirkja, Reykjavík

The Free Church in Reykjavík ( Isl. Fríkirkjan í Reykjavík ) is a church building of the Lutheran Free Church in Iceland, which is independent of the Icelandic State Church . It is located in the center of the Icelandic capital on the Tjörnin . The white building with green roofs was built in 1901 in Gothic style. It was rebuilt several times until it got its current appearance in 1940.
