Astonishing

Frapping means cooling something quickly with ice and / or salt and water . Different types of frapping are possible:

1. Strangely a glass - put a few (2–3) pieces of ice in the glass, hold the glass by the foot (far away from the glass goblet) and swirl the ice to cool the glass down quickly ( bar customer ).
2. Striking wine , a bottle of wine or sparkling wine is cooled down quickly by placing it in a large vessel with water, ice cubes and a little salt and then slowly turning it around the neck of the bottle. In this way you can bring the temperature of the wine to the desired drinking temperature within a few minutes.

Another meaning of striking is "astonish, surprise".
