Fredric M. Frank
Fredric M. Frank (* 9 July 1911 in New York City , New York as Fredric Maurice Frank ; † 9. May 1977 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter , who in 1953 an Oscar for best original story won.
Life
Frank began his career as a screenwriter in the Hollywood film industry in 1940 with the film Escape to Glory and wrote the scripts and templates for ten films and television series by 1965 .
At the 1953 Academy Awards, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Story along with Theodore St. John and Frank Cavett for The Greatest Show in the World (1952) by Cecil B. DeMille with Betty Hutton , Cornel Wilde and Charlton Heston in the lead roles .
Frank's daughter is the writer Katherine Ashe.
