The cemetery of Varaždin (Croat. Varaždinsko groblje ) in Croatia was laid out in 1773 and is one of the special sights of the city of Varaždin . Under the administration of Hermann Haller (1875–1953) in the years 1905–1946 it was transformed into a “Park of the Living”. The cemetery administration is a member of the ASCE (Association of significant cemeteries in Europe). On September 20-22, 2007, the Association of Important Cemeteries in Europe held a meeting in Norway . The Varaždin cemetery was an issue. The structural changes that have already been made to the cemetery were presented, as was the overall redesign of the cemetery that was planned for the future.
