Friends (magazine)

Friends was a British magazine thatappearedin London from 1969 to 1972.

The magazine was first published under the name Friends of Rolling Stone by Alan Marcuson in December 1969 in response to the discontinuation of the short-lived British edition of Rolling Stone magazine . Later the name was shortened to Friends , from May 1971 it was written Frendz .

Friends / Frendz was closely associated with underground magazines like Oz , International Times (IT) and Time Out . The magazine's authors included representatives of London underground culture and avant-garde of the 1960s such as Barney Bubbles , Pennie Smith and Charles Radcliffe .

Frendz was hired in August 1972.
