The Fulbright Academy , also known as the Fulbright Academy of Science & Technology (FAST), was an international organization founded in 2003 by alumni of the Fulbright Exchange Program and others interested in science and technological innovation. In 2013 it merged with the Fulbright Association .

FAST was a virtual research institute and network with board members and volunteers from many countries. Members were individuals and institutions from around the world. Individual members came from the natural sciences, social sciences and related fields. The member institutions included universities, corporations, foundations and authorities.

FAST promoted the dialogue between students and scientists by organizing conferences and meetings:

  • Annual conference 2006 - Berlin, Germany, in cooperation with the German Fulbright Commission
  • 2007 Annual Conference - Panama City, Panama
  • 2008 Annual Conference - Boston, Massachusetts, USA

The Fulbright Academy was not involved in the selection of Fulbright Fellows or the organization of the Fulbright Exchange Program, nor was it affiliated with the US State Department, national alumni groups, or the services and commissions of the Fulbright Exchange Program.
